Three roasts. One mission. $3 per bundle goes to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation.
The Wildland Series was built for the people who go out there - not the ones who talk about it. Each roast is named for something real: a fire behavior threshold, a layer of invisible flame, a man who held the line.
BIG ED - Medium Roast. Indonesia and Latin America. Dark chocolate, smoky cedar, molasses. Named for Ed Pulaski, who forced 45 men into a mine tunnel during the Big Blowup of 1910 and got most of them out alive. He barely made it himself. This coffee carries his name because that's the standard.
DUFF MONSTER - Dark Roast. Colombia and Guatemala. Baker's chocolate, molasses, heavy body. Named for the layer of decomposed matter under the forest floor that burns invisible and underground. Fire crews walk over it without knowing it's moving.
30-30-30 - Medium-Dark Roast. Organic Espresso Blend. Dark chocolate, caramel, toasted almonds. Named for the threshold - 30°C temperature, 30% humidity, 30 km/h wind. When all three cross at once, fire behavior shifts. Experienced crews feel it before the forecast catches up.
Small batch. Roasted by Evans Brothers in Sandpoint, Idaho. Tooled for conditions that were never planned for.
