BIG ED

He Didn't Quit. Neither Does This Coffee.

1910. The Big Blowup. Ed Pulaski forced 45 men into an abandoned mine tunnel, held the entrance against the fire, and got most of them out alive. He barely made it himself. This coffee carries his name because that's the standard, not the story.

The Wildland Series is Spike Camp's tribute to wildland fire culture, the work ethic, the country, and the people who go in when everyone else is coming out. Big Ed Pulaski belongs in that lineup.

Pulaski isn't a legend because of a tool. He's a legend because when the world went orange, he didn't fold. He found a mine shaft, forced his crew inside, and held the entrance while the fire tried to take it from him. Steady, reliable, and stronger than it looks. That's the energy behind this roast.

Roasted small batch by Evans Brothers in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Two tablespoons per 8oz. Water just off boil. French press, 4 minute steep. Let it settle, pour slow. Works in camp pots, percolators, and cowboy setups. No gadgets, no excuses.

Roast: Medium-Dark. Body: Heavy. Acidity: Low. Finish: Long, dry, smoky cedar.

Q: Medium-dark, is it actually bold or just marketing?

A: It's bold. Full body, full roast character, dark chocolate and cedar aren't background notes, they're the whole profile.

Q: Whole bean or ground?

A: Both available at checkout. Pre-ground is tuned for camp pots and percolators.

Q: Is this just a story roast?

A: No. The story sets the standard. The coffee still has to earn its place in your mug. This one does.

Q: Can I pair this with Spike Camp gear?

A: Yes, and you should. The Field Kit was built to run with this.
